Job Description:

ICS is searching for a highly professional and energetic Sr. Business Development & Sales Associate with a passion for customer engagement and satisfaction. The selected candidate will pursue, cultivate, and manage a large customer base consisting of many end user customers, EPC firms, large General Contracting firms (GCs) and OEM packagers that are established in the emerging markets that ICS is targeting. This role will also involve creating and executing a strategic business development plan focused on expanding business in the targeted markets that include CHP plants and Campus Energy, Utility Plants, Mission Critical, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Renewables, and other industries. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a strong team and selling the best automation solutions, capabilities, and services.

Key Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Prepare and maintain a strategic business plan to meet ICS’s business growth and diversification objectives including sales targets along with communicating the status to ICS management on a regular basis
  • Effectively pursue business on a consistent basis and cultivate strong business relationships with EPC firms, OEMs, OEM Packagers, General Contractors (GCs), large electrical contractors, and end-user customers that are in the targeted diversified industries that meets ICS’s strategic growth objectives
  • Primary customer interface, providing details of ICS’s services and solutions to customers
  • Develop new customers while expanding established accounts
  • Work independently to schedule multiple (6 to 10) customer meetings on a consistent weekly basis
  • Interface effectively with the ICS project team along with Proposal Engineering Manager to create estimates and proposals
  • Prepare presentations for clients along with effectively articulating the specifics
  • Participate in business development activities such as exhibiting or presenting at conferences or trade shows in the targeted industries
  • Work closely with clients to provide custom solutions to meet desired specifications
  • Stay up to date with industry trends as it relates to customer requirements, opportunities and competition to help win business

Essential Qualifications/Requirements
Senior Sales Associate – Controls & Automation

  • BS electrical engineering degree preferred but not required
  • 8+ years of proven business development and sales experience with industrial automation and control system solutions
  • Established relationships with the EPC, GC, large electrical contracting, and OEM packaging firms along with the end-user customer base that are in the diversified markets that ICS is targeting
  • Strong and proven experience of successful business development and sales of providing automation and controls system solutions along with electrical equipment (MV/LV MCCs, VFDs, ect.) in the semi-conductor, mission critical (data centers), CHP, Campus Energy, and renewables industries
  • Strong familiarity with the following OEM control system platforms:
    • Rockwell Automation products (PlantPAx, FactoryTalk SE, Logix PLC hardware platforms)
    • Wonderware HMI software products (System Platform, InTouch, Historian)
    • Emerson DeltaV platform
    • Invensys Triconex
    • Inductive Automation – Ignition SCADA & HMI
  • Track record of winning new business as well as further developing existing clients

Key Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Manage all project execution by placing a heavy emphasis on P&L and cash flow.
  • Manage all aspects of the project, from Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) through Detailed Design, Commissioning and Start-Up.
  • Must place a significant emphasis on managing every project with the intention of increasing contract value and/or revenue along with delivering profit margin expectations that will require a minimum of the following items listed below:

Panel Technician/Fabricator

LOCATION: Plano, Texas Area

Innovative Control Solutions is a UL508A industrial control panel fabrication shop located in Plano, TX. We design, engineer and manufacture control panels for a wide range of customers including the Oil & Gas, Power, and various other industrial Automation Industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enclosure Mounting – Mounting components to enclosures. Includes measuring, marking, metal cutting, drilling, and tapping enclosures per drawings. Use of hand and power tools required.
  • Panel Wiring  – Wire control panels according to UL procedures. Ability to read electrical interconnection drawings preferred.
  • FAT assistance  – Help with factory acceptance testing including reading and sending 4-20mA signals and jumpering and monitoring digital input and output signals
  • Prepare panels for shipment  – Includes crating, banding to pallet, and use of pallet jacks.

Skills/Experience:

  • Understanding of electrical wiring, fabrication, and testing of control panels under a UL 508A panel environment
  • Visually verifies the Bill of Materials for the panel being tested in house
  • Understanding of instrument and control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrument loops (4-20mA)
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of power and hand tools
  • Proven experience in effectively programming and integration of the following control system platforms listed below:
  • Understanding of methods used to measure and mark enclosures
  • Understanding of methods used to mount components
  • Understanding of circuits and relays
